Senior Vice President, Corporate Development

Derek Avdul joined Acuity as its Senior Vice President of Corporate Development, leading all Mergers & Acquisitions and analytic efforts. Derek has extensive experience in corporate development, M&A, and strategic planning and has led teams in this capacity across a number of industries. He has been involved in hundreds of acquisitions over the years, worth well over $1B in deal value. He has served in an executive capacity in Corporate Development at Sony, EMI Music, EY and PSI Services. He also has worked as a consultant and senior investment banker for a boutique investment bank.

Derek received his MBA in Finance from The Kellstadt Graduate School of Business at DePaul University and his BS in Business Administration from Miami University (OH). In his free time, Derek enjoys traveling the globe with his wife and young son and playing tennis, skiing and reading.
