Dr. Bandak earned her Doctor of Optometry degree (Cum Laude) from Southern California College of Optometry (SCCO) at Marshall B. Ketchum University in Fullerton, California. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences with honors from the University of California, Irvine (UCI). While at UCI, she participated in undergraduate research to investigate the mechanism of protein aggregation in the human crystalline lens – that is, how cataracts form and the potential for their reversal.

Dr. Bandak received training at many Southern California optometry clinics including California Eye Specialists, Ketchum Health, University Eye Center of Los Angeles, and Castle Family Health Center. She is certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry and is licensed by the California Board of Optometry. She especially enjoys fitting contact lenses ranging from medically necessary specialty lenses to daily wear contact lenses. Her interests include amblyopia, strabismus, myopia control, and ocular disease.
