Meet Dr. Yu

Dr. Yu earned his Doctor of Optometry degree as Valedictorian from Western University of
Health Sciences, where he was also the recipient of the Dean’s Award and a consistent Dean’s
List honoree. He holds a B.S. in Allied Health from Azusa Pacific University.
His passion for eye care began while working as an optometric technician and grew through
clinical rotations in myopia management, private practice, and ophthalmology—including
retina, oculoplastics, and general ophthalmology. Dr. Yu completed a residency at
Riverside-San Bernardino County Indian Health, specializing in Ocular Disease and Primary
Care Optometry, with advanced training in laser procedures such as SLT, LPI, and YAG
capsulotomy.

Beyond the clinic, Dr. Yu enjoys volunteering with mission organizations to provide eye care to
underserved communities. In his free time, he loves hiking, visiting national parks, and
spending time with his church, family, and friends.
