Optometry

Dr. Virginie Silos began her journey in the sciences at the University of California, San Diego, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Cell Biology. Driven by a passion for healthcare and patient wellness, she moved on to obtain her Doctorate in Optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton.

Dr. Silos’s expertise is built on a foundation of diverse clinical experiences. During her doctoral training, she served a wide range of patient populations across several key locations:

• Casa Grande, Arizona: Focused on a private co-management practice specializing in ocular disease.
• Bakersfield, California: Provided essential care to our nation’s heroes at the Veterans Affairs hospital.
• Los Angeles, California: Served the urban community at the Center for Community Health at the JWCH Institute.

These rotations allowed her to master the complexities of eye health, from routine vision care to the management of chronic ocular conditions.

Today, Dr. Silos takes immense pride in delivering top-tier eyecare to her patients. She is deeply committed to the well-being of her neighbors and looks forward to a long career of serving the Kern County community with compassion and clinical excellence.

A fun fact about Dr. Silos is that she was born in Paris, France—hence her French name! When she isn't helping patients see the world more clearly, she is likely out exploring it. Dr. Silos is an avid traveler who loves discovering new destinations with her family. A "big foodie," she is always on the hunt for her next favorite meal and is never afraid to try a bold new dish or a unique local cuisine.
