Dr. Oh Joo Hwang is a medical optometrist with a diverse clinical background and experience across a variety of eye care settings. Her training includes experience in retina specialty practices, Veterans Affairs medical centers, and comprehensive optometric care.

Dr. Hwang earned her undergraduate degree from Loyola University Chicago and completed her graduate education at Marshall B. Ketchum University. Her clinical training includes Orange County Retina, Veterans Affairs Medical Centers in Long Beach and Santa Ana, East Valley Eye Center, and Ikeda Optometry.

Throughout her career, Dr. Hwang has gained experience in both medical and retail optometry settings, including Cornerstone Eye Center, DLP Eye Group, and several established optical organizations. This broad experience provides her with a well-rounded perspective on patient care and the importance of collaboration across eye care specialties.

Dr. Hwang is a recipient of the Robert K. Vineyard Scholarship and speaks English, Korean, and Spanish.
