Dr. Young is originally from Vancouver, Canada. She completed her Bachelor of Science at University of Lethbridge, then earned her Doctor of Optometry at the University of Missouri-St Louis College of Optometry. After graduation, Dr. Young completed her Residency in Primary Care/Ocular Disease at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center in Bronx, New York. Shortly after completing her residency, Dr. Young joined the Department of Ophthalmology at Jacobi Medical Center as an attending Optometrist in Bronx, New York. There she had the opportunity of working alongside ophthalmologists and practiced full-scope optometry focusing heavily on ocular disease detection and management. Dr. Young also provided clinical teachings to ophthalmology residents during her time at Jacobi Medical Center. She specializes in ocular disease detection and management, glaucoma management, and primary care optometry.
