Stephan Chiu, MD

Ophthalmologist

Dr. Chiu is an ophthalmologist with a particular interest in premium cataract surgery, corneal transplantation and refractive surgery. He attended college and medical school at UCLA. He then completed his ophthalmology residency at UT Southwestern, one of the largest and most rigorous training programs in the country. Afterwards, he returned to the renowned UCLA Stein Eye Institute for specialty training in cornea and refractive surgery.

As a San Diego native, Dr. Chiu is happy to come back to serve patients in his hometown. Outside of work, he enjoys making day trips to the mountains to climb and snowboard. He is also on the lookout for the best California burrito in town, so please give him your recommendations.
