Dr. Ho is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in the medical and surgical treatment of diseases of the retina and vitreous. He grew up in the Southern California region, then attended college at the University of California, Berkeley, as a Regents' Scholar-- the most most prestigious scholarship awarded to undergraduates, where he double-majored in Business Administration and Molecular and Cell Biology. He then attended medical school at Boston University. In medical school, he completed a year-long research fellowship in optical coherence tomography under the tutelage of Drs. Jay Duker (Tufts) and James Fujimoto (MIT), where he developed his passion for the field of ophthalmology and retina. 

Following medical school, he completed his ophthalmology residency at Tufts-New England Eye Center. He then returned to his home state of California to pursue a surgical vitreoretinal fellowship at the renowned Shiley Eye Institute at the University of California, San Diego, under the tutelage of Dr. William Freeman. He was awarded the Fellow Award for Excellence in Teaching given by the residents.

Dr. Ho is a published author in numerous top-tier medical journals, including Ophthalmology, IOVS, and Retina and has presented his research at various national meetings. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Retina Specialists and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology. His medical philosophy revolves around patient-centered care and he takes a personal interest in the wellbeing of every patient he treats.
